PackAspire is an independent English-language site about packaging, for people who make, buy, test and study it. It looks at everyday packs (food, drink, household and personal care) first, and also at the materials, engineering, pharma packaging and automation behind them. It is based in the Netherlands.
The aim is simple: give you a clear, sourced explanation without hype. Short answer first, detail underneath, sources linked.
What you’ll find here
- FMCG Packs. Food, drink and household and personal care packaging: launches, formats and lessons from other packaged goods.
- Materials. Flexible films, fibre-based and rigid materials, and the trade-offs between them.
- Pharma. Primary packaging and supply chain, explained as education only.
- Engineering. Barrier, seals, testing and troubleshooting.
- Smart and Automation. Codes, digital watermarks, track and trace, lines and robots.
- Tools. Free calculators for film rolls, box compression, laminates, unit conversion, barcode check digits, pallet loads, lightweighting, fill and headspace and pack cost, a material properties table, and printable checklists.
What we don’t cover
We don’t explain packaging regulation here. For the rules around packaging and packaging waste, see ppwreu.org.
